Houston Realtor Lori King considers herself honored to work with home sellers and buyers in the Houston area. In 2009, she walked away from a successful 15-year career in the oil and gas industry in order to focus on a passion for real estate, and she's never looked back.
Although she's not a native Texan, she says that she "got here as fast as I could," moving to the Lone Star State from Pittsburgh in 1981. Today, she lives with her family in Pearland and specializes in the Southwest Houston real estate market, encompassing Harris, Brazoria and Galveston Counties. She has, however, represented buyers and sellers in a variety of price ranges throughout the sprawling Houston area. With a lifelong interest in interior design, she is able to offer marketing advice and staging expertise to sellers, noting that it's an added service to ensure that her listings sell quickly and for top dollar. She also enjoys helping prospective buyers envision how a space will fit their specific needs.
King describes herself as a "people person" who will always go the extra mile for her clients. She holds the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation, but notes that she enjoys working with sellers equally as well. In addition, she is a member of the Pearland Chamber of Commerce and an active member of the Bay Area Chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors.
Away from business, King notes that she loves spending time with her husband of 21 years at their ranch in Choate, near San Antonio. She says that friends come all year to fish, hunt and float in the San Antonio River. In addition, she loves watching her son Seth play football on the Pearland High School team and supports her daughter Andi, working hard on her studies at Texas A&M University.
She has no regrets about trading her northern roots for the Texas lifestyle, just as she is very happy she made a decision to change careers eight years ago
